Exploring Culture and Craft in Seoul

Museums, Craft Beer & Local Culture

Exploring Culture and Craft in Seoul

Today was a delightful blend of museums, craft beer, and local culture here in Seoul! We kicked off our day with a visit to a couple of museums. The kids were particularly fascinated by the interactive exhibits at the National Museum of Korea, where they learned about ancient artifacts and even got to try on traditional hanbok costumes. Emily exclaimed, "I feel like a princess!" as she twirled around, leaving the rest of us chuckling at her enthusiasm.

After soaking up all that history, we ventured to a local craft beer pub that had a fantastic selection. Dad was in heaven, sampling everything from fruity IPAs to rich stouts, while Mom took the opportunity to sip on a refreshing local lager. "Who knew Seoul had such a hopping craft scene?" she remarked, raising her glass in cheers.

Next, we strolled through the vibrant streets, soaking in the bustling atmosphere and savoring street food delights. We couldn't resist some tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and hotteok (sweet pancakes), which had the kids begging for more. Let’s just say, they were in food heaven!

As the sun began to set, we found ourselves at Gwangalli Beach, where the stunning view of the illuminated bridge was simply breathtaking. It was the perfect spot to end our day, with the sound of waves crashing and the smell of fresh seafood wafting through the air. We took a family photo, which I’ll be sure to share soon!

All in all, today was a fantastic mix of education, relaxation, and a bit of indulgence. Can’t wait to share more adventures with you all tomorrow!
