Today was a magical journey through history as we explored the majestic royal palaces of Seoul! Our adventure began with the Changing of the Royal Palace Guard Ceremony at Gyeongbokgung Palace. The vibrant colors of the guards' uniforms and the ceremonial music made us feel like we'd stepped straight into a Joseon Dynasty drama. Mom couldn't help but exclaim, "This is better than any historical film!" as she snapped photos of the guards.
After soaking in the royal atmosphere, we headed over to Sejong Village Food Culture Street. Talk about a food lover's paradise! We wandered through stalls offering everything from spicy tteokbokki to sweet bingsu. Dad, always the adventurous eater, tried a dish he couldn’t pronounce and declared it the best thing he’s ever tasted—though we’re still not sure what it was!
Refueled and ready for more, we stopped at the Starbucks Reserve Gwanghwamun Branch. This wasn’t just any coffee run; the ambiance felt like stepping into a cozy art gallery. We indulged in some fancy drinks that came with names longer than our entire itinerary! The kids loved their unicorn frappes, while we sipped on artisanal brews, feeling like coffee connoisseurs.
As the sun set, we found ourselves at Money Mwoni Pub, where the lively atmosphere was the perfect way to unwind. We toasted to our day filled with culture, food, and laughter, and let’s just say Dad’s karaoke rendition of a K-Pop hit was an unforgettable highlight!
Overall, today was a delightful blend of history, food, and family fun. We can't wait to share more adventures with you all tomorrow!
